Beauty Day

Ready to Empower's Health & Wellness program offered a beauty day! The women in our program received haircuts, makeup and manicures to help increase their self­-esteem. Many of the women cried during this process with tears of joy because for the first time they stated they felt beautiful. Thank you to everyone who donated to help provide beauty supplies to help make this beauty day a reality.

Treat for a day!

Ready to Empower had their first ever field trip March 18th and everyone had a blast taking women in our programs for a pool and waterfall day in Costa Rica! The women never have a chance to just have fun and not think of survival! This was a first for them to see a pool, waterfall and get the chance to swim and overall just enjoy life! The joy on their faces all day was priceless!

US volunteers Ready to Empower in Costa Rica

Stephanie Avila, Yulia Ann and Tetyana Serafin visited Costa Rica to volunteer. This experience changed their lives and the lives of others. The volunteers empowered the women in our WFS program and assisting staff with daily task. The volunteer’s generous donations of funds, time and energy helped repair homes and provide encouragement to empower the women to reach their goals. “Volunteering in Costa Rica with RTE was one of the best experiences of my life. It deeply touched my heart to see how RTE cares about women in this program, educates them, inspires them and always motivates them to achieve more. I was really moved by their pure hearts and love to each other! Pura Vida!”

New job training/Internship facility

Alexis Vavela the owner of Eoferene’s recycling company has offered at his facility to provide Job task and supervision for the women in our WFS program. Alexis is Changing lives by offering support and opportunities to others.

Amway Video Production Team heads to Costa Rica

The film crew was amazing and really took the time to get to know the heart of the Founder while also making time to hear the stories of the staff and the women in the program. The video they created was amazing and remarkable in so many ways. The team really helped portray what RTE’s vision and mission is about.

The business Council of Westchester requested Ready to Empower’s Founder and President joined station 1230 WFAS Talk & News to promote Ready to Empower’s programs in Costa Rica and to promote a charity event hosted by Westchester Business Council titled Dancing with the Rising stars ( DWRS). DWRS’s raises money for the a selected charity each year.Sharing Shelf was this year's charity chosen selected. Please check out the amazing work they do in helping provide tools to empower others.

Chereese Jervis-Hill President & Founder of Events to Remember chose Ready to Empower to be the highlighted charity for the Sassy Ladies Shopping Night Out. At this event the ladies pick-up Fashion tips and shop until they drop. Thanks to Chereese Jervis-Hill, a portion of the ticket proceeds were given to Ready to Empower to help support the programs that are being offered in Costa Rica. Because of Chereese kindness, more women are able to empower themselves.

Ready to Empower’s Founder and President Speaks at Pace University

Ready to Empower’s founder Amanda Ready presented February 10th, 2016 to students at Pace University in Pleasantville NY. Amanda educated students on self-awareness and volunteering to create change. In addition, the students raised over 200 dollars to provide medical support to women in Ready to Empower’s programs.
